This is a Competitive Pokemon Team for Sword and Shield (SWSH) If you guys (readers) didn’t know, I’m a HUGE and I mean HUGE Pokemon Fan. I have recently played battles with my friends at a Competetive Rate, but I didn’t have any competitive team (I know I use the word COMPETETIVE a lot but just umm… bear with it). So let’s get on to the team!
Stats Short Forms!
- Health Points = HP
- Attack = ATK
- Defence = DEF
- Special attack = SPA
- Special Defence = SPD
- Speed = SPE
Nature Chart
This is Dragapult and I chose it because it has such a good ability and multiple ways to use it. So first of, Dragapult is a Dragon/Ghost type and I used the ability ‘ Infiltrator’ which I think is a very good ability. What infiltrator does is that it makes sure the pokemon can get through any move (I think) like ‘Substitute’ and ‘Protect’. Dragapult is also paired with Jolly nature, making its speeed go KAPOW! I made it so that its HP and SPD (Speed) very high, so that it is able to get of those big hits first. It has the ‘Weakness policy’ making moves that are super effective against it raise its ATK and SPA (Attack and Special Attack).
Moveset:
- Phantom force
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon dance
- Protect
Phantom force and Dragon claw is it’s main moves, because it’s STAB. STAB means it will raise the moves power by 50% if it is the same type as the user.
this makes Dragapult a very fragile but Strong Pokemon. (a.k.a Glass Canon)
This is ‘Inteleon’, the final evolution of ‘Sobble’ a starter pokemon. I decided to go with ‘Inteleon’ because it is a very quick and specially strong Pokemon. What I mean by that is its Special Attack is Very High. As you can see, ‘Inteleon’ is a plain Water-type and (should) have the ability ‘Torrent’. torrent isn’t very special as it raises the power of water type moves when it’s at low HP. I put the ability ‘Timid’ because it raises speed but lowers attack. I don’t really care about the attack because Inteleon is a Special Attacker. It has Choice Specs because it will raise the power of SPA but the drawback is that the first move you use, will be the only move you use unless if you swap out and use a different move.
Moveset:
- Snipe Shot (Signature Move)
- Air Slash
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball
I have Shadow Ball, Ice Beam and Airslash for coverage against pokemon that are strong against water types E.G Grass Types. Snipe Shot is for STAB and it’s also a really good move!
This is Hippowdon, a very tanky Pokemon but it can give a HARD hit. it is a plain ground type and has the ability sand Stream. Sand Stream makes it so that there is a Sandstorm in the battle making every pokemon other then Ground, rock and Steel types take damage.
